Working on not being cynical listening to all this digital noiz.

Greetings,

I've been experiencing a problem with IconX for the last few beta releases. The last one that worked for me was 1.99h[b].002. What is happening is when ever I turn on IconX, I think it is inverting an alpha channel or something. What happens is that any objects that I have currently running disappear as well as all my icons. Now here's the weird bit, If I have an object that was on top of my original desktop icon (before starting IconX) I can see a portion of the object in an outline of the original icon. It's as if my original icons become windows to see the object beneath it and the desktop is a brick wall. I have DesktopX installed on a computer at work that I just reformatted and loaded the latest DesktopX version, and it does not exhibit this behavior. My guess it that it is a setting issue, but I don't know what. I've tried uninstalling DesktopX and clearing the files out of the directory before reinstalling, and I also tried cleaning some DesktopX items out of the registry to no avail. At this point I'm stuck. Any ideas?

I can tell you for sure,,there seems to be a issue with IconX right now.I noticed it about two or three buildz ago. There has been a few post on the DTX NG and confirmations.I have received an official Stardock support email telling me to keep a heads up for the fix.It iz coming.
I really don't think going to a lot of trouble right now to create a fix will be worth your time and efforts.I am sorry to hear of your trouble and I hope you have a work around. You can still compute/function,eh?

Thanks Brazil.

From the searches I performed looking for a fix to this, I agree IconX has got some problems currently. 1.99n fixes some of the issues I found posted, but not this particular one.

I'm still working though, I just turn IconX off (Oh the horror of the standard Icon! ), or revert to 1.99h that I have archived and I'm golden. I haven't found a compelling reason to use the latest build yet, but I'll keep trying.

As I said it's weird this is happening on one computer and not another so if you have any ideas what I need to install/uninstall, I'm all ears.

Naw,just sit tight and have fun with what you have. There will be a fix soon,I am sure.Have you tried playing with the pre-sets,as in open with Notepad and adjust settings manually? That seems to give me some form of normalcy.I can't take those Iconz anymore either.
